What is Alaska Studio? Alaska Studio is a photography company based in Anchorage, Alaska. It was formed in 2005 by Travis Tollefsen when he decided to merge his love for the outdoors with the passion he had for photography. This created a perfect balance, and created some of the most stunning images of Alaska. Soon after he started a home based portrait studio, and on location portraits. Mixing his artistic talent of the outdoor world with the fun of shooting portraits has made a perfect mix of photography creating the unique look the Alaska Studio clients have come to love. This is what helped create the motto that Alaska Studio lives by, "Make a picture worth a thousand words."

We often get asked how we came up with our motto, and the answer couldn't be more simple. Alaska Studio creates images that when your friends or family see them there only response will be, "WOW!"

There is an old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Alaska Studio took that saying one step further when creating their motto since you never know when that next shot will be "the shot of a lifetime". Instead of hoping for that "shot of a lifetime", why not make every picture count? Hence our motto "Make a picture worth a thousand words."

Since Alaska Studio's start we have grown quite a bit, and now occupy a state of the art studio. Between the studio and the Alaskan Outdoors we offer everything from classic portrature to taking the artistic level of our portraits to the extreme.
